Story of Love Letter
Growing up, I was always in a kitchen. I was either in the restaurant my parents ran or at home with my mom, cooking and baking.
My parents immigrated from Malaysia to New York about 36 years ago, and around Lunar New Year my mom and I would spend hours making kuih kapit which is a delicate Malaysian cookie which translates to “love letter crepes” to gift to people we cared about.
Love Letter Bakeri is my way of paying homage to my parents for to the hard work and love they built our lives on. And it’s also a love letter to the people around me.
I love learning what people’s favorite desserts are! Tell me yours, and I’ll probably try my hand at making it.
